With over 20 years experience in teaching, training and learning, Ian is an expert in designing workshops and seminars, public speaking and writing learning materials. He can shape your expertise into a learning experience – whether written, recorded, or live – that will connect and communicate with your learners, clients and potential clients.
You may have been advised to offer workshops, seminars and courses as a key aspect of your marketing. Doing so enhances your reputation as an expert and brings you a flow of new clients, as well as enabling you to charge for the events and materials themselves if you so chose. That said, while you’re an expert in your area, you may have never designed or presented a workshop or even spoken in public before. You may have little idea about how to get your expert knowledge into writing and onto the internet.
Yes, many people go ahead and run their workshop or put their material ‘out there’ anyway. They run the risk of confusing their clients and actually damaging their reputation because badly written and presented material just won’t connect. Ian can work with you to coach you towards finding the top of your teaching game and always remaining at your peak. He can edit your written work, show you how to make it available both in print and on the web, and enable you to find your voice as a teacher and a trainer. He works with people new to training and those who have been in the role for a while and who want to raise their game.
Ian is a master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and an NLP trainer. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in the teaching of adults and a master’s degree in education from the Open University. He taught and trained teachers in further and higher education for many years before launching his own coaching practice. He has run many successful workshops and now, for the first time, is opening up his expertise to anyone seeking excellence in training and teaching.
He can work with you via e-mail, Skype, online document editing (e.g. using Google Docs), or can even sit in on your workshop and offer detailed feedback. He’s happy to have an informal conversation with you and you’ll find he’s generous in making suggestions that will improve your next project – even before you become a client.
